One day trip: what sights of Lutsk to see?
If you are limited in time, you should start exploring the city with its symbol – Lubart’s Castle, or Lutsk Castle of the 14th century, which is one of the largest and best preserved in Ukraine. This oldest building in Lutsk belongs to defense buildings. On the territory of the castle you can not only go back in time of the principality and enjoy the ancient architecture, but also visit the three museums located inside: the Museum of Bells, the Museum of the Book and the Art Museum. There is also an exposition of ancient weapons, most of which were used directly to protect the building.

The tour of Lutsk continues in the old part of the city, where the following exhibits are the 14th-century Dominican monastery and the Cathedral Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul of the 17th century. These monuments of church architecture were an integral part of the defense system of Lutsk.

We also advise you to pay attention to a more modern building – the Lutheran Church, built in the 19th century. It reminds locals and tourists of the German colonization of Volyn lands, since it was the community of colonists who built the building in the Neo-Gothic style, which was later the local archive, and now belongs to the Baptists.
