Vytachiv: history, inspiration, and natural beauty

The picturesque village of Vytachiv is located near Kyiv. It offers everything you need for nature lovers: green hills, a huge meadow, access to the Dnipro River, and breathtaking views. Vytachiv is part of a complex of ancient settlements in Ukraine. References to it can be found in manuscripts from the 10th century. The Beremytske Nature Park was established recently, in 2017. It quickly became a favorite place for family recreation, and for good reason, as the location offers plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities. You can take scenic walks, enjoy the wilderness, and observe animals in their natural habitat. There is also a museum of wild cats, a small zoo, and stables.

Want to have a picnic? There is a designated area for that. Want to ride horses, pet them, and feed them? It’s all possible here! Interested in an informative tour? You can arrange one on-site. It’s so interesting and cozy here that you won’t want to go back to the city. But there is a solution: rent a cozy cottage and stay for the entire weekend!

How to get there: Car rental in Kyiv is a great opportunity to quickly reach the location. The park is located in the village of Beremytske in Chernihiv Oblast. From the left bank of Kyiv, you need to take the T-1008 road through the Desnianskyi district, which is approximately 73 km. Search for “Park Pryrody Beremytske” on Google Maps. There is the necessary infrastructure on-site, including parking. The entrance ticket costs 80 UAH for children and 100 UAH for adults.

“XII Misyatsiv” Zoo: a fairy tale for children and adults

This is a huge private zoo in the Kyiv region where you can spend the whole day. Unfortunately, it was badly damaged by the full-scale military aggression of the Russians (in particular, many animals died due to panic attacks). However, it is now being restored and even offers new locations: for example, a swimming pool, which was opened this year.

It will take about five hours to see all the animals: there are more than 1000 of them. You can take pictures of the zoo’s inhabitants. And kids can pet miniature cows and sheep in the petting zoo. There is a large area for walking around. It’s a paradise for children: there’s a huge playground, a replica of Neuschwanstein Castle, a pirate ship, and the aforementioned swimming pool. By the way, there is a restaurant in the castle: adults will be able to relax comfortably.

How to get there: The zoo is located in the village of Demydiv, Vyshhorod district, 33 km from Kyiv. You need to take the P 02 highway. Google Maps request: “XII months”. Entrance to the park is paid: 300 UAH for adults, 150 UAH for children 3-6 years old.
